This week's microfiction is a 50-word story about a simple mistake.

Many of my micro stories are inspired by prompts provided by THE FICTION DEALER Substack. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re interested in reading more microfics — or writing your own!

Pour Decisions

Look—mistakes were made.

First, I saw my fiancé, who was supposedly out of town. Naturally, I followed him to this restaurant and threw water on his date.

How was I meant to know that you weren’t him after all?

Sorry about the mess. Like I said, mistakes were made.

Writing without a paywall is important to me, but writing is work. If you enjoyed this post or found it helpful, I would be honored if you would consider donating.
